Blue Ridge Middle, Farmwell Station Middle and Woodgrove High Schools were recognized by the Virginia Department of Wildlife Resources for including environmental literacy in their curricula through the Virginia Naturally School Recognition Program. In considering whether some school names reflect LCPS’ values of inclusion and diversity, the Loudoun County School Board is considering changing some school names and is seeking public comment. A Community Town Hall will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 17 at 7 p.m. at Smart’s Mill Middle, specifically to discuss the name of Frances Hazel Reid Elementary School. Loudoun County citizens may attend the September 17 public meeting.

Today marks the 23rd anniversary of 9/11. Today we honor the victims, families, first responders and survivors of that day. The NJROTC cadets at Loudoun County High School placed flags on the front lawn in honor of each life lost during the 9/11 attacks. #NeverForget
