On Tuesday, April 22, 2025, the School Board voted to decline recommendations on the proposed retiree health plan changes and to refer Policy 7628 back to Committee for a detailed look at the policy wording and to have a more thorough discussion. The motion included the appointment of a special committee to address the issue.
LCPS is in the process of reviewing proposals for a new provider for the LCPS-sponsored Medicare Advantage Plan. Cigna has sold their Medicare business, and our contract will end 12/31/2025. Information about the new provider and plan will be shared as soon as practicable and prior to open enrollment.
