Dear Families:
It is time to get ready for the 2026/27 school year! The first step in preparing for the new school year is for parents/guardians to log in to ParentVUE, an essential tool for supporting your student’s educational journey, and update your student’s information. This process of updating student information is called Online Verification.
This required annual update of student information must be completed before you can view your student’s school and bus schedules when they become available on Wednesday, Aug. 12.
If you do not have a ParentVUE account, contact your student’s school for an activation code and follow the directions on the Getting Started with ParentVUE webpage. If you need help with your ParentVUE account, contact your student’s school.
If you already have a ParentVUE account and you access ParentVUE on a laptop or desktop computer, your first ParentVUE login of the school year will automatically direct you to Online Verification. If you access ParentVUE via a mobile device, select the “Update Student Info” tile to begin the Online Verification process.
By completing Online Verification, you will review and confirm or update important information, including emergency contacts, preferred language for written communications, and other required forms and questions.
You must complete this process before you can access class and bus schedules on Wednesday, Aug. 12.
ParentVUE can be accessed on a desktop or laptop computer through the ParentVUE portal. You can also access ParentVUE on your mobile device. New this school year, families who wish to access ParentVUE on their mobile devices must download the new ParentVUE app. Families using the old ParentVUE app will be prompted to download the new app. Follow these step-by-step instructions for guidance on downloading the new app. The instructions also offer guidance for installing ParentVUE for the first time.
Once bus schedules and class schedules go live on Wednesday, Aug. 12, families who have updated their student’s information will be able to access their student’s schedules in ParentVUE in the following staggered intervals to help avoid system overload:
9 a.m. – High School Families
Noon – Middle School Families
2 p.m. – Elementary School Families
Families are also invited to check out the LCPS First Day webpage for key information to help you and your family prepare for a successful school year. The first day of school for the 2026-27 school year is Monday, Aug. 17.
Thank you!
