Before the start of the 2026-27 school year, the Loudoun County Public Schools (LCPS) Division of Family and Community Engagement (FACE) worked closely with community partners to help ensure students and families had the resources needed for a successful start to the year.
Loud & Clear Marketing, the Rotary Club of Broadlands and Costco donated backpacks filled with school supplies for students across the division. The backpacks were distributed to students at 15 LCPS schools who were identified by family liaisons as needing additional support, as well as students new to LCPS and the United States who received assistance through the LCPS Welcome Center. Students experiencing homelessness also benefited from the donation.
This year's contribution continues a decade-long partnership among FACE and these community organizations. Over the years, their generosity has provided thousands of dollars in donations and supported countless students and families. By providing essential school supplies and resources, these organizations help ensure that every student begins the school year with confidence, preparedness and a sense of belonging.
"We are grateful to our community partners for their continued partnership and generosity," said Renée Dawson, director of Family and Community Engagement. "When schools, businesses and community organizations come together in support of students, we can remove barriers to learning and create opportunities for every child to thrive."
