We want to apologize for the accidental late bus notifications that families received yesterday and again today. We understand that receiving an unexpected transportation alert can be concerning, particularly during the first days of school when families are establishing new routines.

We have identified the error that caused these notifications to be sent, and are working hard to make sure it does not occur again. We appreciate your continued patience and understanding as our teams work through issues that can arise during the first week of a new school year.

We also ask that you please do not unsubscribe from LCPS transportation notifications as a result of these messages. These notifications are an important way for us to communicate legitimate transportation updates and other important alerts, and unsubscribing could prevent you from receiving information you need.

If you do have a student who rides an LCPS school bus, you can also use the Stopfinder app to monitor your child’s bus and receive the most accurate information regarding their route. 

Thank you again for your patience, understanding and partnership as we get the 2026–27 school year underway. We know how important reliable, timely communication is to our families, and we are committed to getting this right.
