Download New Apps to Get Ready for the New School Year

As we prepare for the new school year, we want to ensure our families and students are informed about the latest updates to the LCPS app and the ParentVUE and StudentVUE apps. 

The updated LCPS app makes it easier than ever to stay connected with what’s happening across the division and in your student’s school. Designed to bring important information together in one place, the app gives families and staff a personalized window into school news, events and resources. Search for “Loudoun County Public Schools” in the Google Play Store (Android) or the App Store (iPhone), then follow your student’s school to see the calendar, lunch menu, payment information and more.  

ParentVUE is an essential tool for supporting your student’s educational journey. Through ParentVUE, families can update their student’s information through the annual Online Verification process. Online Verification opens on Monday, Aug. 3. Parents and guardians must update their students’ information using the Online Verification process before they can access their student’s class and bus schedules, which will be available beginning Wednesday, Aug. 12. 

StudentVUE allows students to check their grades, view class schedules and track attendance in real time. 

Both ParentVUE and StudentVUE can be accessed on a desktop or laptop computer or through a mobile device. New this school year: Families and students who access ParentVUE or StudentVUE on mobile devices will need to download NEW apps.  

Families using the old ParentVUE app will be prompted to download the new ParentVUE app. Follow these step-by-step instructions to download the new app. The instructions also offer guidance for installing ParentVUE for the first time.

Students who use the StudentVUE mobile app on their personal devices will also need to download the updated version. While downloading the StudentVUE app on a personal device is not required, we know that many students choose to use the mobile app outside of school for convenient access to their information. Students will continue to have access to StudentVUE on their school-issued Chromebooks. 

Both the new ParentVUE and the new StudentVUE apps can be downloaded from the Google Play Store or the App Store.
