ASHBURN, Va. - This June, Loudoun County Public Schools (LCPS) anticipates graduating 7,151 seniors. Of those, 75% received an advanced diploma, 23% a standard diploma and just over 1% an applied studies diploma.
Approximately 71% of graduates reported that they will attend a four-year college in the fall (up 1% from last year’s graduating class), while around 16% will attend a two-year school (down 1% from last year’s graduating class).
While going to college was the most common choice for graduates, other plans included:
4% report they plan to enter the workforce.
Just over 1% report they plan to enter military service.
6% report they plan to take a gap year or have other educational plans.
“We are incredibly proud of the LCPS class of 2026 and all they have accomplished during their time with us,” said Superintendent Dr. Aaron Spence. “These graduates have demonstrated determination, creativity, and a commitment to growth that will serve them well in whatever path they choose next. As they leave our schools, I hope they do so knowing they are valued, capable, and prepared to make meaningful contributions to their communities.”

From earning state titles and performing on national stages to leading at premier competitions and presenting at scientific research symposiums, these graduates have demonstrated a commitment to excellence while laying the groundwork for meaningful contributions in their communities and future careers.
