In this week’s LCPS Letter we celebrate Earth Day! Dr. Spence talks with a teacher and three students about what they and their schools are doing to learn more about the environment and what we can do to protect our planet. Lincoln Elementary held their annual Earth Day celebration featuring a variety of hands-on activities designed to spark thinking about environmental conservation. And several of our middle school student are tackling the big issue of food waste by conducting food waste audits in their lunch rooms. Plus, we learn about changes to Virtual Loudoun Online’s registration process and we gear up for the Week of Play, which is May 4 to May 9.
