Dear LCPS Community,
Loudoun County Public Schools is aware of an email threat that was sent to multiple school divisions and higher education organizations across Virginia. Law enforcement is actively investigating this matter. The email was broad and there is no indication of a specific or credible threat to any LCPS school.
That said, out of an abundance of caution, and in close coordination with our local law enforcement partners, LCPS will have an increased law enforcement presence around our schools for the next two days. The safety and security of our students and staff is always our highest priority, and we take any potential concern seriously.
We also ask for the continued partnership of our students, staff, and families. If you see or hear anything that seems concerning, please report it immediately to school administrators or local law enforcement. “See something, say something” remains an important part of keeping our school communities safe.
