Deborah Tripp, Graphic Communications teacher at the Academies of Loudoun (ACL), was honored with the Roger Johnson Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2025 Virginia Association for Trade and Industrial Educators (VATIE) Conference on July 24.
The prestigious award, unanimously approved by the VATIE Board, recognizes Tripp’s outstanding dedication and lasting impact on Trade and Industrial Education in Virginia.
Tripp served as the SkillsUSA Virginia state director from 2012 to 2018 and continues to shape future leaders through her work in the classroom. Her students regularly earn top honors at district, state and national competitions, benefiting from her expertise, mentorship and commitment to excellence.
