Congratulations! FBLA High School

A team of CTE students recently returned from Anaheim, California, after attending the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) National Competition. FBLA is a career and technical student organization that helps prepare students for careers in business through academic competitions, leadership development and educational programs.

In April, 72 teams from 11 schools, consisting of 109 students, learned of their eligibility for FBLA Nationals.

This past week, students who were able to travel to Anaheim from Briar Woods (3), Broad Run (1), John Champe (1), Freedom (2), Independence (23), Rock Ridge (5) and Stone Bridge (11) attended the National Leadership Conference and enjoyed a full experience.

FBLA offers students a wide range of events to showcase their skills. Of the 44 students who joined us in Anaheim, 17 made the stage,  an incredible accomplishment for LCPS and Virginia.

Qualifying for Nationals is an outstanding achievement, and many of our students advanced to the finals in their events, placing among the top 15 in the nation. Taking the stage was simply the icing on the cake.

In addition to excelling in competition, students represented LCPS and the Commonwealth of Virginia with pride, kindness, inclusivity and professionalism.
