LCPS Update Graphic

Dear Families:

Online Verification
As we plan for the start of the 2025-26 school year, Loudoun County Public Schools (LCPS) families will need to complete Online Verification via ParentVUE. Online Verification allows families to update and confirm their student’s information as well as respond to important opt-in and opt-out information. Online Verification for the 2025-26 school year begins on Tuesday, August 5 at 9 a.m. If you do not have a ParentVUE account, please contact your student’s school to request an Activation Letter.

New and Noteworthy Online Verification Items
Please note the following new or noteworthy items in Online Verification:

  • Access to Google Services Used for Instruction

Beginning this 2025-2026 school year, LCPS is now required by Google to ask parents to consent, or “opt-in,” for their students to be able to access third-party applications not designed explicitly for K-12 use, which are commonly used in instruction, like YouTube, Google Maps, and Google Translate.

LCPS already limits access to applications that are not required or recommended for learning to the greatest extent possible on LCPS-issued devices and student permissions vary according to their elementary, middle or high school level.

When you complete the Online Verification process for your student(s), you will see a box to opt your student in for these third-party applications for their use in learning. If you have questions, please read the posted Frequently Asked Questions or visit the list of LCPS-approved software

  • LCPS Transcript Release (for Seniors only)

Parents/guardians of seniors must complete the transcript release form (Form RT-10). By completing this document, parents/guardians grant school counselors permission to share student records, such as transcripts, with colleges during the application process.

Bus and Class Schedules
Bus and class schedules will be available on Monday, August 11. Once bus schedules and class schedules go live, we ask that families access their information in ParentVue following these staggered intervals to help avoid system overload.

  • 9 a.m. – High School Families

  • Noon – Middle School

  • 2 p.m. – Elementary School

Please note: To view schedules, you must complete the Online Verification process on or before Monday, August 11.

And just as a reminder, the first day of school for the 2025-26 school year is Thursday, August 21.

Thank you!
