Loudoun County Public Schools (LCPS) will be providing free meals this summer for students ages 18 and younger at fourteen locations throughout Loudoun County listed below.* LCPS provides this free service to our families through participation in the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) Summer Food Service Program. The Summer Food Service Program provides funding for free meals to children during the summer months, when schools are closed, in order to ensure children retain access to nutritious meals when school is not in session.
Like all federally funded programs, there are certain requirements LCPS must follow, including:
All meals must be consumed at the school or site location.
Food cannot be taken offsite.
Meals cannot be picked up by a parent or guardian to bring home.**
Below is a list of all summer meal locations and times Monday through Friday. Meals will be provided, on a first-come, first-serve basis. No meals will be provided on Thursday, June 19, or Friday, July 4.

Families interested in additional food assistance over summer break can go to the Loudoun Feeds website and click on the “Find Food” button to find a list of community partners who will have adequate food supplies on hand. Loudounfeeds.org provides a calendar that shows the date, time, location and requirements of open food pantries.
Please note: The LCPS Summer Meals Program differs from summer school meals. The Summer Meals Program is a free meal program that helps families needing extra assistance during the summer. Locations must be applied for/approved by VDOE. Summer School meals are an extension of the regular school year. Summer School meals have a fee and are an option for students attending LCPS Summer School.

*Along with children ages 18 years and younger, SFSP regulations at 7 CFR 225.2 also define children as persons over 18 years of age who are determined by the State or local educational agency or a local public education agency as having a mental or physical disability and who participate during the school year in a public-school program established for the mentally or physically disabled.
** Parameters are determined by USDA. SFSP (Summer Food Service Program) regulations require sponsors to ensure children consume meals at the site [7 CFR 225.6(e)(15)].
