Work Session
Staff from the Department of Teaching and Learning provided a CTE Update focusing on the development of a 5-year Plan.
In response to feedback from the community, the Loudoun County School Board voted to establish a select committee focused on conducting a deeper exploration of retiree healthcare. This initiative is intended as a fact-finding effort to provide Board members with a clearer, more comprehensive picture of retiree healthcare as it relates to LCPS and beyond.

The Pledge of Allegiance and National Anthem were performed by the Sanders Corner Elementary School Chorus.
Recognitions
The School Board recognized Senator Russet W. Perry and LCPS student Milo Jackson for their exceptional dedication, compassion, and leadership. Their commitment to the cause has led to the successful promotion of a joint resolution declaring May 2025 as Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome Awareness Month.
LCPS and the School Board recognized four employees with 40 years of service to the division.

Highlights of the report include:
Watson Mountain Middle School hosted a Geospatial Science Symposium to showcase student innovation.
Three LCPS Teams were selected as Plant the Moon Challenge winners.
LCPS student projects addressed real-world concerns at the 6th annual Environmental Showcase.

The Board addressed three action items:
The School Board adopted as amended the Finance & Operations Committee’s approved revisions of Policy 6130, Unpaid Meal Debt.
The School Board postponed adoption of the HRTD Committee’s approved revisions of Policy 7306, Personnel Records and File.
The School Board postponed adoption of the Student Services Committee’s approved revisions of Policy 8125, Admission Requirements.
Information Items
The Board addressed one information item:
The School Board discussed changes to the existing Dulles South secondary school attendance zones. All changes included with this action will be implemented in fall 2026, with the start of the 2026-2027 school year.
