LacrosseRunnerUp

The Loudoun County Boys Lacrosse team finished its season as state runner-up Saturday, June 14 after a hard-fought 11-7 loss at the hands of Salem.

Salem jumped out to a 2-0 start before Carter Kyle’s two goals evened the score midway through the second quarter.  Mikey Richardson added a goal in the second, but County trailed 5-3 at the half.

Unfortunately, the Captains could not find the goal in the third quarter, and the Spartans extended their lead to 9-3.  Goals by Sawyer Quinn, Mikey Richardson (3), and Logan Stanard in the fourth cut the lead, but the Captains ultimately fell short.

Thank you to Coaches Luke Driscoll and Ryan Duncan on another successful season.
