Morning Announcements

  •  

    • 6th Graders Only - Interested in joining the Yearbook Staff? See your Resource teacher for an application (submissions due Sept. 26th).
    • SCA Executive Board elections - positions are VP, Secretary and Treasurer and open to ALL BRMS students. Applications are due by Wednesday, Sept. 26th and can be found in each House office.
    • Mrs. Willingham's Morning Running Club will begin in October (Tues/Thurs). Flyers can be found in each House office.
    • All 8th graders who applied to AOS - Please see Mr. Peterson for the PSAT booklet.

    Instilling Grit in Children By Neil McNerney 

    Friday October 19th 9:15am-10:15am, BRMS 

    Intriguing New Research…is verifying that achievement in life is less about intelligence and more about the ability to persevere. Grit, the ability to develop sustained effort over long periods of time, is one of the key factors in academic achievement. Neil McNerney, a licensed professional counselor, author, and parenting expert, will share with you an easy-to-understand model of the concept of Grit and give parents specific strategies to encourage and develop Grittiness in students. Please come and join this parent coffee hosted by the Blue Ridge and Harmony middle school counselors
