Plan to attend Setting Students Up for Success After High School, a workshop about how SchooLinks, a college and career readiness platform, can help you and your student plan for what comes after graduation. The workshop will be held on Thursday, Aug. 14, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Stone Bridge High School (43100 Hay Rd, Ashburn, VA). From 6 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., LCPS staff and SchooLinks representatives will provide an overview of SchooLinks’ features and show how SchooLinks can help you and your student navigate their academic and post-graduation pathway. From 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., we will discuss the College Application Manager, which helps students track and complete the college application process. Parents are invited to attend the entire workshop or just the portion that most applies to their student’s current needs.

High School schedules available at 9 a.m.
Middle School at noon
Elementary School at 2 p.m.

Reminder About Parent/Guardian Opt-In for Third-Party Educational Tools and Services
As part of our efforts to provide an engaging learning experience, LCPS uses a range of digital tools and services to support instruction and enhance student learning. Beginning this 2025-2026 school year, LCPS is now required by Google to ask parents to consent, or “opt-in,” for their students to be able to access third-party applications not designed explicitly for K-12 use, which are commonly used in instruction, like YouTube, Google Maps, and Google Translate.
LCPS already limits access to applications that are not required or recommended for learning to the greatest extent possible on LCPS-issued devices and student permissions vary according to their elementary, middle or high school level.
When you complete the Online Verification process for your student(s), you will see a box to opt your student in for these third-party applications for their use in learning. If you have questions, please read the posted Frequently Asked Questions or visit the list of LCPS-approved software.

Online Verification in ParentVUE opens Tuesday, August 5! Parents and guardians, this is your chance to: 1. Update or confirm your student’s info; 2. Make opt-in/opt-out selections; 3. Get ready to view class and bus schedules (available August 11!). Online Verification must be completed before being able to access class and bus schedules on Monday, Aug. 11. As a reminder, the first day of school is Thursday, Aug. 21. We are looking forward to welcoming your student for the 2025/26 school year!
Starting in 2025–26, students must arrive on time to be eligible for sports practices, competitions or performances. The previous 15-minute grace period has been removed. New rules will affect rising ninth graders who request special permission to attend a school outside their assigned zone. These students will be ineligible to participate in VHSL athletics for 365 days unless they attended that school’s feeder middle school the previous year. All student-athletes must use the new VHSL physical form dated April 2025, starting July 1. Forms must be signed by a medical provider on or after May 1, 2025, and are valid for 14 months. Incomplete forms or missing signatures may delay participation. Submit completed forms directly to your school’s athletic office. Full details are available at https://www.lcps.org/athletics. 25-26 Athletics Updates: Athletic registration now through Arbiter Sports
Beginning with the 2025–26 school year, all LCPS athletic registrations must be completed through Arbiter Sports. Paper forms and other platforms will no longer be accepted. Arbiter Sports is secure, multilingual and user-friendly. Note: Internet access is available at any LCPS school if needed. Full details are available at https://www.lcps.org/athletics. Loudoun County Public Schools partnered with Virginia-based disaster relief and humanitarian aid organization Mercy Chefs and Washington Commanders starting center Tyler Biadasz and his foundation, Center of Change, as part of its 2025 Summer Huddle program.
