Removal Project: Invasive Tree of Heaven

We want to let you know about an important project happening on and around our campus this fall. Beginning in early October and continuing through the end of November, crews will be working to remove the invasive Tree of Heaven from our school grounds.

The Tree of Heaven grows quickly, spreads aggressively, and outcompetes native species, making it harmful to our local environment. Its removal will help restore healthier habitats, reduce the presence of pests such as the spotted lanternfly, and allow us to create more space for native plants and trees that better support our community and local wildlife.

During the project, you may notice areas of the school grounds temporarily marked off while work is underway. We will ensure all work is conducted safely and with minimal disruption to daily school activities.

Thank you for your support as we work together to improve the health of our campus environment.
