PBIS

What is PBIS?

  • PBIS allows all Roadrunners at Rolling Ridge (RRD) to have a common language

  • Being RESPECTFUL, RESPONSIBLE, AND DETERMINED (R.R.D.) to learn are not just character traits we want our Roadrunners to display at school.  We are training champions for life!

  • We want all Roadrunners to consider themselves, the school, and everyone in the community when making choices.

PBIS at RRD

PBIS Implementation at RRD

There are a variety of activities we do to implement our PBIS program

  • We introduce students to our school motto..."RRD is the place to be!"

  • We participate in classroom lessons in which students talk about appropriate and inappropriate behaviors around the school.  To start these discussions, teachers had their classrooms complete a class-specific version of the RRD behaviors.

  • We hang  posters up around the school as a reminder of expected behaviors and how they are similar in different areas of the school.

  • We participate in individual positive incentive rewards by allowing opportunities for students to earn Green (RRD) Tickets for RRD behavior. They can turn the tickets in for prizes at the school store.

  • We participate in a positive incentive plan by allowing classes to earn Golden Tickets for behavior during class time, specials, in the hallways, or cafeteria.  Classes who earn the pre-determined amount of tickets by the end of the quarter are able to earn the voted on prize! Pries have included: PJ Day, Game Day, Pep Rally, and a chance to Pie Mr. Burd!!!

  • We recognize two students from each class per month who display our CHARACTER TRAIT for that month. Character traits include but are not limited to: Respect, Responsibility, Determination, Friendship, Citizenship, and Growth.

  • We hold QUARTERLY ASSEMBLIES (Roadrunner Rallies) to recognize our Roadrunners!
