Class includes an End-of Course Standards of Learning (SOL) Test

 A=Academic course level

 R=Research course level (enhanced writing & research skills required)

You are permitted to take more than one science course in the year, as long as you have completed the prerequisites. For example, if you have passed Algebra II, you could take Biology & Chemistry as a sophomore. 

Graduation Requirements

Students seeking a Standard diploma must complete a minimum of three science classes in two different disciplines. Students seeking Advanced Studies diplomas must complete a minimum of four science classes in three different disciplines. 

Research classes are honors level and weighted 0.5. Advanced Placement (AP) classes are weighted 1.0.
