STUDENT COUNCIL NEWS:
It's SOCKTOBER! As temperatures drop and Summer becomes Fall, the Student Council will be collecting socks the entire month of October. Please bring in NEW socks of all sizes and place them in the Front Lobby in your House box. You will receive 5 points per pair of socks for your House! On October 29, all socks will be donated to our downtown neighbors in need at Mobile Hope. Thank you!

Leesburg Elementary' s Hearing and Vision Screenings for Kindergarteners, Third Graders and New to County Students are scheduled for Monday, September 30. Nurse Abby is looking for two volunteers to help line students up alphabetically, escort to the screenings, and then return back to class.

Join us for our first PTO Book Swap of the year on Friday, September 27th. Book Swaps are always held the last Friday of the month before school from 7:40-8:00am. We are also in need of volunteers that will help set-up book swap tables, organize books, and support students as they make their selections and donate their swaps. Swaps are held in the LES Lobby or the hallway outside the Cafeteria.
Attend the first ever School Nutrition Services Food Show on Friday, Oct. 4, at Independence High School from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Sample new and exciting recipes and provide feedback about new foods for school menus that students love and align with current food service trends.
