Elementary Behavior Model
Lauren Carlson, Behavior Support Coordinator
What is the Elementary Behavior Model?
Beginning in August 2025, additional behavior support will be provided at 26 of our elementary schools through the introduction of Behavior Resource Teachers (with hopes of expanding for the 2026-2027 school year). These individuals will support schools in a variety of ways, ranging from supporting teachers in their use of Tier 1 classroom practices to providing direct support to students in need of additional strategies or intervention. This model will help to streamline efforts and provide more timely behavioral support to schools. Our Behavior Resource Teachers will also work closely with other staff, such as School Counselors, School Psychologists, and School Social Workers, to support our students!
