How do I apply for McKinney-Vento services for my children or myself if I am an Unaccompanied Youth?
The McKinney-Vento application is now online! The link to apply is the following:
McKinney-Vento Application Portal
The application is available in both Spanish and English. It can be accessed through a smartphone, computer or tablet. Starting in the 2020-2021 school year, ALL applications must be submitted online through this link. If you need assistance completing the application, please contact a staff member at your school to enter the data on your student's behalf.
Once the McKinney-Vento team receives and reviews the application, your student’s school McKinney-Vento team will receive an email indicating if the application has been approved, denied or more information is needed after an eligibility decision has been made.
If approved, eligibility determination is valid for the entire school year in which the student has applied. You could submit an application anytime throughout the year. Even if there's no change in your living situation, you need to submit one application for all student age children living in the same household every school year.
*Please note, we are no longer accepting paper applications*
