Judge and Sponsor Registration for the 2025 LCPS Regional Science & Engineering Fair is now open!
The 43rd Annual Loudoun County Regional Science & Engineering Fair (RSEF) will be held Wednesday, March 19, 2025 at John Champe High School. RSEF Awards will be presented on Thursday, March 20, 2025 at John Champe High School. This annual event involves more than 300 Loudoun County Public Schools (LCPS) high school students.
The RSEF is seeking support from the community for award sponsors and judges. If interested in sponsoring a category, donating an award, or judging for the Fair, please register on the online registration system.
The LCPS Regional Science & Engineering is seeking donors for our student awards. All kinds of awards and recognitions are welcome. Students receive awards in 22 RSEF categories as well as many special awards given by community sponsors.
The awards for the Regional Science Fair are in two groups: Category Awards and Special Awards.

There are First, Second, and Third places awarded in every category. One or two Honorable Mention Awards may also be given. All students compete on an equal basis within each category. ISEF Finalists are chosen from the 1st place category winners.
The ISEF Finalists participate in the Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF). This annual event takes place in May with participants from more than 400 affiliated fairs from 40 nations.
Special Awards
Special Awards are given by individuals, and local, state, and national organizations. The Special Award donors establish the criteria for their awards and often provide their own judges. Awards might include monetary gifts, treasury bonds, gift certificates, plaques, trophies, journal subscriptions, scientific equipment, tours of facilities, and special opportunities for students.
