ebikes

We’re excited to see so many students riding their bikes, e-bikes, and scooters to school—it’s a great way to stay active and independent! As this trend grows, it’s important for families to know the safety rules to help keep everyone safe.

  • Helmets are required by law for anyone under 15 riding a bike, e-bike, scooter, skateboard, or electric mobility device.

  • E-Bikes come in 3 classes—Class 3 riders under 14 must be supervised by an adult.

  • All riders must follow traffic laws, signal when passing, and yield to pedestrians on sidewalks and trails.

Parents, please supervise young riders and make helmet use a non-negotiable habit. Let’s work together to keep our students and neighborhoods safe!
