Ann Marie Hart

Welcome to Second Grade!  This will be my 3rd year with LCPS and I am so excited to be joining the team at MCCS this year and begin a new adventure. As a military spouse, I have a variety of different experiences in elementary schools from our time overseas including Japan and Hawaii. I have taught in grades 3rd through 5th and I am very excited to join you in Second Grade!

I am originally from Buffalo, New York (Go Bills!) and studied Education and Child Psychology at SUNY Fredonia and obtained a Masters Degree in Teaching Elementary Education from Liberty University.  My husband is an Active Duty Marine and we are parents to 2 boys (9th and 7th Grade). I am a crazy sports mom and most of my time is spent watching my boys play hockey, football, rugby, and lacrosse. When I am not cheering them on, you can find me outside hiking with my pup, Duke, or at my favorite crossfit gym.

For me, teaching is about fostering confidence, critical thinking, and empathy—qualities that are essential for navigating the complexities of life. Each day in the classroom is an opportunity to make a positive impact, to empower students to believe in themselves, and to guide them towards realizing their full potential. Teaching is a journey of continuous learning and connection, and I feel privileged to play a part in shaping the future leaders and thinkers of tomorrow. It is going to be a great year!
