Step 1: Determine Eligibility - The child must be living with a parent or guardian and residing in Loudoun County and must turn 5 on or before September 30 of the year they enter school.
Step 2: Determine Home School - Enter your home address in the LCPS Attendance Boundary E-Listing to determine your home school.
Step 3: Gather documents needed for registration and enrollment:
birth certificate
proof of parent identity or legal custody
proof of Loudoun County residency
health documents
Step 4: Complete Online Pre-Registration - If you are new to LCPS, you will need to create a new ParentVUE account. Parents of current/returning LCPS students can access the Online Pre-Registration by logging in to ParentVUE. Registration forms are also available on the LCPS Registration website. Paper copies are also available to pick up at your student's school.
Step 5 : Schedule an In-Person Appointment with your school's registrar.
