Unity Day in Support of Bullying Prevention Month
Unity Day is an annual event, held on the third Wednesday of October, that encourages the public to unite against bullying by promoting kindness, acceptance, and inclusion. Participants wear the color orange to signify their commitment to creating a safe environment for everyone, with the message that
"When We Stand Together, No One Stands Alone".
Purpose:
Promote kindness, acceptance, and inclusion:
to prevent bullying in schools, online, and in the community.
Provide a visible symbol of support:
for those who have experienced bullying, letting them know they are not alone.
Emphasize the message:
that bullying is unacceptable and all individuals deserve to feel safe and supported.
