Scheduling Details:
January 15, 6-8pm – Guitar, Band and Strings “test drive” nights (attend either one). This starts at 6 with a quick parent meeting and then allows for time afterwards for kids to try different instruments. Students only need to attend one and only if they want to play an instrument.

January 22, 4-7pm (this is ONLY for Band Fittings) - Our band teacher (Mr. Fairchild) will be doing optional mouthpiece fittings for band only.
March 11, 7pm – Parent Orientation – Rising 6th Grade Parent Information Night. Hear from the principal and staff with information about your child’s sixth grade year. Meet in the Harmony Auditorium.
February to April – Elementary schools work with students and parents on course selections
April to May – Counselor, Dean, and Principal to visit each school
July to August Tours – This summer we will again offer building tours on Tuesdays from 10 AM to 1 PM. If your rising 6th grader is anxious about starting middle school or you wish to acclimate him/her more to the building, click the link to schedule your time. Link for Tour Sign Up

At the beginning of each group, students meet in the gym and parents meet with principal Stewart (in the AUD) before both meet back together to get lockers, receive schedule, and enjoy a self-guided walk of the school (and class location). To ensure space in the hallways, please follow this alphabetical division:
Last Name Starts with A to G: (starts at 8:00 AM and ends at 9:15 AM);
Last Name Starts with H to O: (starts at 9:30 AM and ends at 10:45 AM);
Last Name Starts with P to Z: (starts at 11:00 AM and ends at 12:15 PM)

MUSIC TRY NIGHTS EVENTS
( STUDENTS WHO ARE SELECTING CHORUS DO NOT NEED TO ATTEND )
Our band, orchestra, and guitar teachers are hosting Music Try Nights to help rising 6th graders with their musical course selections. Students only need to attend one and only if they want to play an instrument.
January 15 from 6 PM to 8 PM (this is for Guitar, Band, and Stings)
January 22 from 6 PM to 8 PM (this is for Guitar, Band, and Stings)
January 22 from 4 PM to 7 PM (this is ONLY for Band Fittings)
BAND ONLY - Students interested in joining band on a woodwind or brass instrument can sign up for small group instrument fittings. Each 20 minute time slot will include around 10 minutes of mouthpiece testing under the direction of Mr. Fairchild, and up to 10 minutes of full instrument testing with the assistance of Harmony Band students. All materials will be provided for all instrument fittings.
