SOL Testing
LCPS will be administering Spring Non-Writing SOL tests to students in grades 3-12 during May and early June. Tests are administered as part of the Virginia Assessment Program and provide useful data to parents, teachers, and school administrators on what students have learned during instruction. Harmony will administer tests on the following dates:
May 8- Integrated Reading and Writing (IRW) SOL- 8th grade only
May 13- Civics SOL- 8th grade only
May 15- Reading SOL- grades 6,7,8
May 20- Science SOL- 8th grade only
May 22- Math SOL- grades 6,7,8
On May 15 and 22, we will test first and then operate on a two-hour delay schedule the remainder of the day. School will start at 8:50 and buses will run regular schedules; it is just our school schedule after testing that is a two hour delay schedule. We appreciate your help in making sure that your child is prompt, present, and prepared for each testing day. Expedited Retakes will be offered to students who earn a failing score between 375-399 on any SOL test. Retakes are optional and parental consent is required prior to retesting students. We will reach out to you if your child qualifies for a retake.
