5/12 - Five Monroe Students Advance to National SkillsUSA Competition


Twenty-eight students from Monroe Technology Center participated in the State SkillsUSA Competition in Hampton, VA last month. Monroe students competed in the areas of Graphic Communications, Crime Scene Investigation, Networking, Auto Collision Repair, Cosmetology, Masonry, Welding, and Carpentry. Schools from all over the state sent their regional first place winners to this competition.

Five Monroe students were awarded first place in their area of expertise and have advanced to the National Competition in Kansas City, MO, to be held June 23-27, 2012.
