LCPS School Business Partnership Hosts Awards Reception
The Loudoun County Public Schools School-Business Partnership Executive Council will host an awards recognition ceremony on Thursday, April 28, at the Academies of Loudoun.
The School-Business Partnership Executive Council, along with the collaborative efforts of schools, communities, business and industry, works to ensure LCPS students are college and career ready. This event will highlight the work of local businesses, community partners and individuals that have worked with specific schools and/or LCPS Administration Offices to create authentic connections and real-world experiences to empower our students to be future ready. It will also feature two current LCPS students who have made meaningful contributions to their communities through their entrepreneurship efforts.
Award categories and winners are as follows:
- Bringing Community Together Award
- Partners for Progress Award
- Student Innovator Award
- Alana Andrews (Senior, Potomac Falls High School)
- Sanjitha Prabakaran (Senior, Stone Bridge High School/Academies of Loudoun)
- Make a Difference Award
- Legacy Award
- J. Hamilton Lambert Exemplary Leadership in Education and Community Service Award
- Dawn Meyer (Former Executive Director, Loudoun Education Foundation)
Special guests in attendance include Superintendent Dr. Scott Ziegler and members of his Cabinet, Loudoun County School Board Members Jeff Morse (Chairman), Atoosa Reaser, Brenda Sheridan, Tom Marshall, Harris Mahedavi and Andrew Hoyler.
