57 LCPS Students Named National Merit Semifinalists
Fifty-seven Loudoun County Public Schools (LCPS) seniors have been named 2022 National Merit Scholarship Semifinalists.
The students are among 16,000 students nationwide to receive the honor. They were selected from a pool of 1.5 million juniors who took the 2020 Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude Test (PSAT). Less than one percent of those test takers are named Semifinalists.
The Semifinalists will continue to compete for National Merit Scholarships by submitting an application, writing an essay and receiving a recommendation from a high school official.
