Scott A. Ziegler was sworn in as Loudoun County Public Schools’ (LCPS) 11th Superintendent during a ceremony held at the beginning of the August 10 School Board meeting.

The oath of office was administered by Karen M. Myers, Chief Deputy of Judicial Services in the Loudoun County Circuit Court Clerk’s Office.

The oath of office states, “I do solemnly swear that I will support the Constitution of the United States; and the Constitution of the Commonwealth of Virginia; and that I will faithfully and impartially discharge all the duties incumbent upon me as the Superintendent of Loudoun County Public Schools according to the best of my ability, so help me God.”

“I am honored to lead Loudoun County Public schools as we move forward together on behalf of all students,” states Ziegler. “After coming through a time like no other, we must find a way as a community of learners to be curious, open, dedicated to academic rigor and encouraging of each other.
