School Board Agenda January 4


The Loudoun County School Board will hold its Annual Organizational Meeting at 6:30 p.m. Monday, January 4, 2021.


This will be a virtual meeting to comply with Gov. Ralph Northam’s Statewide Measures to Contain COVID-19.


The full meeting agenda is available on the LCPS website.


The superintendent will chair the meeting until the board chair is elected by the School Board members.


Once the chair is elected, the School Board will undertake the following organizational items: Election of School Board Vice Chair; Election of Virginia School Board Association Official Delegate and Alternate; and a Resolution Approving Loudoun County School Board Organizational Business for Calendar Year 2021.


The board will consider two action items during the meeting: the School Board Committee Structure and Equity Committee Composition.


The agenda contains one information item:

  • Metrics Informing Decisions Relating to Implementation of Hybrid Model.

The School Board also will have a closed meeting.


Live public comment will be accepted virtually and aired in real time during the meeting at the direction of the Chair. Citizens who wish to make live public comment, may register by visiting the Citizen Participation Link on the School Board webpage. Telephone registration will open at 8 a.m. Monday. Telephone registrations will be taken at 571-252-1030. Registration closes one hour before the start of the meeting on Monday.


Written comments also are accepted from the public in advance of School Board meetings. Members of the public who wish to submit written comments are invited to use this form to do so.


The meeting will be live-streamed on and televised on Comcast channel 18 and Verizon FIOS channel 43.
