The Loudoun ReStore provides students with disabilities workplace training. This school year, Loudoun ReStore partnered with the LCPS Department of Pupil Services and Seneca Ridge Middle School to furnish the Career and Transition Lab with furniture, rugs, linens and dishes. They created a simulated apartment with a working refrigerator, stove, washer and dryer and dishwasher.
Habitat for Humanity provided inspirational and educational experiences for several Tuscarora High School seniors as they completed their Capstone Project. The Tuscarora students developed a fundraising plan involving a car wash and raffle that included marketing, finding sponsors and scheduling. The group raised $650 with the one-day event. Tuscarora students also worked on a Habitat home that was being restored.
