LCPS saw the need to provide all students with contemporary digital tools that will allow them to maximize the learning environment. The first priortiy is to ensure that all sstudents are provided and individual learning device in grade three through twelve. In the primary grades of kindergarten through second grade, students are provided class sets of five iPads and five chromebooks. In speciality areas of the secondary schools, custom labs are configured programatically to ensure the appropraite technology is avialble to meet the learning needs of the student.
Additionally, as part of the this approach, all teachers are provided a touch-enabled laptop. Unlike in preovious years, this device is assigned to the teacher for the duration of teh devices lifecycle and is only turned in for periodic mainatance.
