Back-to-School Blowout Rescheduled for October 13th


Loudoun County has rescheduled the “Back-to-School Blowout” outdoor festival and concert for middle schoolers for Saturday, October 13
th.

This event will be held from 3 to 6 p.m. at Woodgrove Park and Round Hill Indoor Aquatic Center, 17010 Evening Star Drive in Round Hill.

The “Back-to-School Blowout” will feature live performances by Loudoun teen bands, including 2018 Battle of the Bands winner Stone Cold. There also will be interactive games, a rock wall, an obstacle course and swimming.

Admission to the event is free and the first 150 attendees are eligible for free ice cream. The event will be held rain or shine. For more information and a list of performers, visit www.loudoun.gov/teens.

This inaugural mobile teen event is for students in grades six through eight, including home-schooled students, and is designed to promote the health and well-being of Loudoun’s young teens. The “Back-to-School Blowout” is sponsored by various Loudoun County government agencies and Loudoun County Public Schools (LCPS). The county plans to host more mobile events like this in the future.

Local government agency representatives will be on hand to provide information on county services and resources for the youngsters and their families.
