PTA Meeting, Reflections Program, Spirit Night and Field Day

Dear Liberty Families,
It's hard to believe that we are already beginning October. We had a wonderful September and now encourage parents to take advantage of the wonderful resources available from our school.
If your family is in need for any assistance that Liberty Elementary or Loudoun County Public Schools can provide, we would like you to know that we have a wonderful Parent Liaison, Nannette Azzouz, who is here to help. To learn more about her important role and Resource Assistance available, click here.
We thank everyone for being involved in your child's education. This Tuesday, October 2nd, our PTA will host its general meeting at 3:00 PM in the school library. We hope many of our parents can join us to discuss upcoming events for our families including our Children's Diversity Night. We will also have a terrific PTA Parent Presentation of "Common Sense Media" from our technology integration specialist, Nichole Thomas.
For 50 years, National PTA’s Reflection program has helped students explore their own thoughts, feelings and ideas, develop artistic literacy, increase confidence and find a love for learning that will help them become more successful in school and in life. Each year, hundreds of thousands of students in Pre-K through Grade 12 create and submit original works of art in one or all of the available arts categories.
Also on Thursday, October 4th, our Liberty PTA will host another great Spirit Night at Coal Fire Pizza all day and night. Remember to mention Liberty at the register and our PTA will get part of the proceeds.
Thank you again for supporting our school, the Liberty PTA and our children by donating to Laps for Liberty. You can send your donation this week. If you missed out on pledging a donation, please know you can donate a flat amount to our PTA this week. Just write "Laps for Liberty" on the memo line of the check made out to Liberty PTA. You can also pledge by credit card by visiting our online donation page here. 100% proceeds from Laps for Liberty will help fund the full PTA budget, provide resources and assemblies for our STEMmerday, which is a free event for your family to attend, and purchase Chromebooks for our students to use for content creation, Google Classroom, coding and more!
As a reminder, this Friday, October 5th is field day for all students in grades K-5. Students should dress for athletic events and bring a water bottle to school. 5th grade futura students will attend on an alternate day this week so they do not miss field day.
Have a wonderful week.
