Tyson Appointed Principal of John Champe High School


Kevin Tyson has been appointed to serve as the new principal of John Champe High School.  Tyson will begin his new assignment July 1 and replaces John Gabriel, who has been named the principal of Independence High School.

Tyson is in his ninth year with Loudoun County Public Schools and is currently an Assistant Principal at Stone Bridge High School. In his 10 years in education, he has served as a teaching assistant, health and physical education teacher, career and technical education director, dean of students and assistant principal. His teaching career began at Broad Run High School. He returned to his home state of Alabama and served at Midfield High School for a year before returning to Broad Run High School and then moving to Stone Bridge High School as Assistant Principal.
