Public Information Office Wins 2 Telly Awards

The Loudoun County Public Schools (LCPS) Public Information Office has been awarded a silver and a bronze Telly Award for two video productions from the 2017-2018 school year.


The silver Telly was awarded to “The Four Tones Sing in China.”  This video recounted the experience of four high school students whose a cappella singing earned them an all-expense-paid trip to Shanghai to appear on a Chinese reality TV show. Videographer Laura Wen produced this piece. Wen has won a total of five Telly Awards during her career with LCPS.  This silver award breaks her streak of bronze awards.  Watch “The Four Tones Sing in China” at


The bronze Telly was awarded to “Sign Up Now for the LCPS Mobile App.”  Videographer Cuong LeNguyen produced this piece.  This was LeNguyen’s first Telly award.


The Telly Awards was founded in 1979 to honor excellence in local, regional and cable television commercials with non-broadcast video and television programming added soon after. The Telly Awards annually showcases the best work created within television and across video, for all screens. Receiving more than 12,000 entries from all 50 states and five continents, Telly Award winners represent work from some of the most respected advertising agencies, television stations, production companies and publishers from around the world.
