Suicide Prevention Seminar May 3rd


The Loudoun County Public Schools (LCPS) Department of Pupil Services will present “Suicide Prevention” from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 3rd, at the LCPS Administrative Offices in Ashburn.

LCPS Supervisor of Diagnostic and Prevention Services Dr. Heather Applegate, Ph.D., and Christy Esposito-Smythers, Ph.D., youth expert and researcher and associate professor of psychology at George Mason University, will share research-based principles of suicide prevention, including providing specific guidance for parents, as well as review LCPS suicide prevention strategies and procedures.
