MAY IS MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS MONTH

Mental illnesses are common and treatable, and help is available. Mental health awareness is meant to help remove the shame and stigma of speaking out, so that more people can be comfortable coming out of the shadows and seeking the help they need. There are a lot of misconceptions about what mental illness feels like. Learn about anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, psychosis, and more with this year’s Mental Health Month fact sheets: http://www.mentalhealthamerica.net/mental-health-information. Having healthy relationships and getting on a path to good mental health begins with being able to talk about how you feel. Screenings can help catch mental health problems early and starting a conversation with your doctor can be very beneficial. Please find additional resources and information on Mental Health America’s website: http://www.mentalhealthamerica.net/
