  • This is a reminder that Battle of the Books meets in the library today. You will be receiving the 4th and final book before the tournament. Please bring your lunch, battle books, and your raffle ticket.
  • The results of the library literary love contest are in. Congratulations to Audrey Hendrickson for scoring a 100%. She has earned a trip to the prize palace and 25 points for the Shark team.

  • Harmony's Creative Writing Club will meet today after school in the library.
  • TOGA TUESDAY will happen TODAY during 2nd and 3rd lunch in the library. Anybody is welcome to join us for, of course, TOGAS, as well as a game of ROTA, the ancient version of tic-tac-toe. Grab a pass from the cafeteria to attend!

The staff members will be in the library to share lots of important information with you, so stop by to meet them. In the meantime, if you are an 8th grader, you need to sign up to take the Introduction to Journalism class next year. This course is required in order to be on the newspaper or yearbook staff as a sophomore. We'd love to meet you! The Mythology Museum will take place in the library during first and second block only.   • Congratulations to Jack Hill, for winning our Free Throw Contest this morning. He won the contest with a shoot-off. We had 5 student finalists who shot a combined 85 out of 100. The staff who entered shot a combined 30 out of 100.

  • Due to yesterday's school and after school practice cancellation, the 6th Grade Band Winter Concert scheduled for tonight has been postponed until January 9. Full band practice will be on January 7.

Effective immediately, due to the short supply of student loaners , you will be given 2 school days to return your laptop loaner and charger once you are notified that your Chromebook is repaired. If you have a Chromebook loaner, you are expected to return it immediately. If you do not return the equipment, your loaner will be collected and you will not be given your Chromebook until all equipment is returned.

December 5

  • Tonight is the night please come out and support the Art Department’s Empty Bowl Dinner from 5:30pm-7:30pm in the Harmony Middle School Cafeteria, $20 for a handmade bowl and dinner or just $5 for dinner which includes soup, bread, and a drink. We will have soups from Andy’s Leesburg, West End, Justin Thyme Cullinary, Woodgrove Gormet Foods, Harmony FACS, Magnolias and Grandale Restaurant.   • Attention students. If you need any repairs to your Chromebook or charger during the school year, please stop by computer lab 2 anytime during the day or before school. Do not wait to get repairs done. The sooner you bring them to the lab, the sooner they can be fixed. You will be given a loaner so you will not be without a computer while it is fixed.
