  • Students, on this day 17 years ago, our country was attacked by a series of fours coordinated terrorist attacks. The attacks killed 2,996 people, injured over 6,000 others and caused at least $10 billion in infrastructure and property damage. All of the staff in this building were alive and were affected by what happened that day. None of the students in this school were born yet. It is like when I was little and my school told me about the bombing of Pearl Harbor. We knew it was a very bad thing but we hadn't lived through it. Seventeen years ago, today was a very scary day. As we pause for a minute of silence today, please reflect about today and think about how you can make positive decisions and actions in your lives to help others.
