Rising 9th Grade Expunge Form (click here)

Rising 9th Grade Students and Parents,

A middle school student who has taken a high school course while in 6th, 7th, or 8th grade (such as Algebra 1, Geometry, or a world language) may elect to have the course expunged (grade and credit omitted) from the student's high school records. Strong consideration should be given for expunging low grades in credit-bearing courses.  Once a course is expunged, it will not appear on the high school transcript. Please be advised that the decision to expunge a grade is irreversible and must be made prior to enrollment in high school.

If you wish to expunge the grade for a high school course taken in middle school, you must submit a completed and signed expunge form to the Dominion High School Counseling Office by August 15, 2017.  The link to the expunge form can be found below.  You may either bring the form in person to the School Counseling Office or e-mail it to Jaclyn Smith, the Director of School Counseling, at jaclyn.smith@lcps.org.  In August, you will receive a letter in the mail indicating that your expunge form has been received and processed. If you do not receive this confirmation, please contact Jaclyn Smith to confirm receipt.
