William O. Robey High School Graduates First Students
Robey High School is a new school in LCPS that supports students who need an alternative path to graduation. Robey’s faculty and student body celebrated the school's first two graduates on Tuesday, February 22.
Robey High School takes a personalized approach to students and their completion of course work and graduation requirements. As a result, students graduate when they fulfill those requirements, not in the calendar-bound system of a traditional high school.
Fatima del Carmen Merino Herrera and Leandro Benjamin Vilchez Ruiz were the first students to receive diplomas from the new school.
Robey Principal Dr. Jeanene Sims praised the graduates for their “resiliency, dedication and perseverance.” Sims said the graduates “took a chance on Robey, and we couldn’t be more honored that they put their faith in us.” Congratulations, Graduates!
