Alternative Transportation

The following message was sent from Kenneth Culbert Elementary in an email from Mrs. Jackie Gutierrez, Assistant Principal on June 22, 2018. This message was sent on behalf of LCPS Director of Transportation, Mr. Michael Brown and contains important transportation information for the 2018-2019 school year.

ALTERNATIVE TRANSPORTATION

Beginning June 22nd parents can use ParentVUE to request alternative transportation for their child(ren).

What is Alternative Transportation?  It is “Transportation to/from a location that is not the bus stop assigned to the student based on the their home address.”  Examples are a daycare facility or a family member’s residence located outside the assigned bus stop location.  Requests for alternative transportation must be to a location within the attendance area of your student’s school of assignment.

How?  Parents must use ParentVUE to submit requests.  Instructions can be found at:  https://www.lcps.org/Page/184590

IMPORTANT NOTICE!!  Even if a daycare in a school’s attendance zone has been served by an LCPS bus in the past, parents must submit a request through ParentVUE in order for that service to be provided for the 2018-2019 school year.

More information about ParentVUE can be found at:  https://www.lcps.org/Page/154534

Or contact your school with ParentVUE questions.

Only parents or guardians can submit requests for alternative transportation.

Additional information is on the Transportation Division website at: https://www.lcps.org/Page/201168
