99 LCPS Students Named to Regional Orchestra
Ninety-nine of Loudoun County Public Schools’ finest orchestra and band students qualified for the 2023 North Central Virginia Regional Orchestra (NCVRO).

The NCVRO will be in concert at 3 p.m. Saturday, November 11, at Charles J. Colgan High School in Manassas. The Junior Regional Orchestra will be under the baton of Dr. Christopher Cicconi, Director of Bands and Orchestra and Associate Professor of Music Education at Towson University. The Senior Regional Orchestra will be under the direction of Michael Gerdes, Director of Orchestral Studies at San Diego State University.
This orchestra is comprised of students selected through audition from the school divisions representing the cities of Fredericksburg, Manassas, Manassas Park, Richmond and Winchester, the Town of Quantico and Caroline, Clarke, Essex, Fauquier, Frederick, King George, Lancaster, Loudoun, Middlesex, Northumberland, Prince William, Rappahannock, Shenandoah, Spotsylvania, Staffordm, Warren and Westmoreland counties.
John Champe High School Director of Bands Adam Foreman was the wind audition chairperson for the NCVRO. J. Michael Lunsford Middle School, Director of Orchestras Adrienne Caravan was the Junior Regional Orchestra event chair and Broad Run High School Director of Orchestras Carrie Albers the Senior Regional Orchestra event chair.
