The National Association for Student Activities (NA4SA) recently appointed Lyn Fiscus, extracurricular specialist for Loudoun County Public Schools (LCPS), to serve a three-year term on its National Board of Directors as the Eastern Region board member.
The Eastern Region includes Connecticut, Delaware, District of Columbia, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, Virginia and West Virginia. NA4SA brings together advocates, advisors, administrators, and allies of all student activities who support and encourage student involvement in and out of the classroom. The NA4SA collaborates with other organizations, such as National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP), National Association of State Student Council Executive Directors (NASSCED) and Alliance for Student Activities in the development of high-quality student and adult leadership training programs.
Fiscus’ experience as a former leadership teacher and student council adviser, and her current role as extracurricular specialist, will assist the board in developing future programs to support student activities nationwide.
